I think is harder to get followers here on ng, because compared to deviantart, on da you get random artworks of new artist on the front page so that allows you to know more artist, and on ng unless it's the featured art you would never get to see them

Yeah... Unless you go out of your way to look for new art, the only works Newgrounds ever recommends you to see is from already popular artists. DeviantArt is better for noticeability.

And advice i can give you is not to trace your own artworks, instead try to make new poses for your characters every time, and if the idea of the drawing is a similar pose to another you've drawn then try new angles and perspectives so it would look more dynamic, there are a lot of references online that you can take inspiration of, they are really useful

Thank you for your feedback! I only trace very occasionally if it is the same character in a very similar pose, but you're right that I should try and avoid doing this at all. I certainly would like to make my drawings a lot more dynamic, and I have a ton of artworks I could take inspiration from. Just need to put in the extra effort and try out some more ambitious poses and perspectives!
